I know some folks who are looking to put something together. They want to sponsor regular people to visit their Senators so they can tell them how they feel about online gambling and the Leach/Goodlatte/Kyl bills.

If a third party covered the airfare, transportation, and the hotel, how many of you would take two days out of your life to go tell your Senator in Congress how your thoughts?

Thanks in advance for your responses.

If everything was covered I would have no problem going to Washington.

I could most certainly find someone to do this from Nevada. Contact me if this gets going and you need someone.

Two here (one poster). Probably, depending on the time.

Would we actually get to speak to the senators?

I'm Canadian so my views may not be relevant to U.S. Senators however, just on principle, I would like to go deliver some strategic noogies.

Yeah, if everything is covered, I'd go speak my mind.

              Wouldn't do any good.

How many do you think you could put together?

                i'd go.

i'd probably need to have someone come to my room, and lead me around, so i didn't get sidetracked along the way though.

i've been to DC, lots of 'interesting' places there..

On a side note, JC, we can't even get some of these forums to do right by the players...We have one "watchdog" who has lied about having "insurance money" set asidee for the players who dared try out his high risk(scam) spoortsbooks, and we want to send people to defend this industry?

we have players who are getting a 'matchplay bonus', from betroyal, rather than their cash, after putting faith in a "players advocate" who only 9 weeks ago was warning those same players of BetRoyals imminent demise.

I think we need to clean our own houses first, to be honest.

I would and support them and ban internet gambling. Nothing good has come out of it and the computer has destroyed many lives because it was too easy to make bets.

You'd think tons and tons of people would feel strongly enough they would pay their own way to tell Congress how they feel. I would go but don't think I am the type who needs to be representing the industry, for one I got a criminal record and secondly I don't have the right look. Need well spoken people that look like average Joe's and without any arrests I would imagine. Don't know if they can do it legally but I wouldn't be suprised if they check the backgrounds of those who do appear? Anyway I am sure minds much better than mine are putting this together, they will have all their homework done. Good luck with it JC, thank those people for me who are trying to put this together.

Patty good points, why would support so many creeps in the industry??

You would have to be out of your mind and a real jerkoff to every in any situation support any kind of illegal gambling. This thread is laughable.
