Plaza Las Vegas to Open PokerPro Poker Room
    http://www.legalpokersites.com/blog/plaza-to-open-pokerpro-poker-room/4381/

Can't wait till they open up! I played a few times on cruises and loved the machines, faster play with no tipping, plus since plaza has no poker room I am thinking and hoping it will last unlike the failed experiment at Excalibur a while back

They have these in Cherokee, NC. Under rated tables imo because of the volume you're able to put in per hour and you don't have to tip. Cherokee is the only game in town though, so I don't know how well they'll do in Vegas. Tourist's will want to use real cards and these tables still bring out the rig-tards. I'm a little surprised more places don't use these tables for the lower limit games and use real dealers and cards for the higher stakes and tournaments. Casinos can collect more rake in the lower stakes because there are more hands played.

As a whole, I don't think the tables have done or been received too well. I remember someone posting here a while back that they bought stock in them years ago and it has basically bottomed out.

They are really a great idea, but the problem is that the older players really hate them. And the older players are the guys that poker rooms count on to show up day in/day out.

When you piss off the 60-80 regular 40 hour a week poker players, then you really don't have a poker room. Personally I would love to see them everywhere. The rake per hand is lower as well, not just the tip

The rake is actually a max of $3.00.

Trust me, it is a MUCH BETTER option for the players AND the casino!

They have these at Crown here in Melbourne. Very popular or at least they were when I used to go. You can buy in with a $20 minimum so it's great for those who want to try poker out and the more serious guys liked the low rake/speed of the hands without having to tip or any other nonsense.

They used this machine at the Southland Dog track about 6-7 years ago.
I busted everyone in the game for about 2 months. Won well over 10k.
Then they altered the machines program and did the same move Full-Tilt did with their software to keep bad players in action feeding them cards (Fact not opinion) and kept stacks as level as possible to bleed the rake.
Stopped playing immediately. Was a waste of time after that.

I loved when they had these at the Trump for 6 months in AC but It slowly went from a 40+ person room to barely running 2 tables. Shame too. I loved playing tournies on these as you got so much more action per blind level.

If they linked a whole room of these together and made a Pokerstars ZOOM or FTP Rush poker thing, that would be sick.

Aria, Bellagio, Venetian and the Wynn (Big 4 Poker rooms) MGM use to be good but now running idiotic promotions that take more $ from the player and their poker room moves around too much (due to construction). I'm sure there's a few decent off-strip ones too.
