If you are saddened because football season is pretty much done, then you are not alone. Although, we are one day closer to next season.

Basketball doesn't do it for me so I'll be happy when baseball starts and football makes its way back around for the 2009-2010 season.

I think I will get more involved in baseball this season. I typically don't follow closely. Are we going to hear Yankees & Boston all season again this year. Pretty dumb question, huh?

I'm sad but for reasons that have nothing to do with sports. A good friend - an alcoholic who was in recovery - has relapsed.
She's totally fvcked. Like she did so much damage to herself in the past, she was on a liver transplant list. But she cleaned up and was doing well health-wise. Now this.
I seriously expect to hear of her death pretty soon.

As a Steeler fan, my season is far from over.

I've walked that road and lost a great friend not long ago. It was terrible and I feel for you, Mudcat. Only she can cease the problem. It is tough. It was for me.

Sorry to hear that as well Mudcat. Stories like this really put things in perspective a little. We sit here and squabble about games and picks and betting when in the long run it really isn't all that important.
Well, hopefully by some miracle she can find that strength very soon to get back with the program and give up drinking again. You just have to hope for the best at this point.

Yep, it was tough for me too. There were a few ambulance rides to emergency in my past. My addictions could have killed me in about 20 different ways actually. But somehow I'm still standing - and very strong now in fact.
This girl I referred to is/was my girlfriend. We had a romance starting up through December and we just had the high schoolish talk a couple weeks ago and agreed we were boyfriend and girlfriend.
Now I have had to cut her out completely. There is no talking to her.
Anyway, it wasn't my intention to make this thread about my situation. Betting-wise I am as far from sad as can be. I made more money in the first 5 days of January than I made in any month last year. No sh1t.

Sad.
My 4 team parlay (Arizona ML / Eagles ML / Pitts Pts / Pitts vs SD UNDER ) got blown away thanks to Pittsburgh and SD finding offense ... freaking UNDER was a "lock"
Hell my work would go back to smooth motion soon ... will suck though ... luv the action.
