Definitely agree with Aussie here, they have a shot. This STL team is a beast however, i'd really like to see how these divisional matchups play out, I definitely don't think Pittsburg is going to choke the rest of their season away. Their starting pitching is too good, and A.J Burnett has been great again, throw in Locke, their new rook Gerrit Cole, great bullpen. If the Pirates don't make it this year, I'm lead to believe they won't make it for years to come.

Karstens is most likely done for the year after shoulder surgery earlier this month he could possibly be back by Sept I guess. But I'd say it is 90% certain you won't see him this year.

McDonald is still "rehabbing" in Indy and has given up 15 ER's in 20 IP's in 4 starts
