My Mom was happy to see me be honest with the world about how I felt inside. My Dad, well, he's never really gotten over it. I know he still loves me, but I doubt he'll ever forgive me for not giving him the grandchildren he's always dreamed of. We're all still relatively close, pardon the pun, but not like it was before. I've just got to be me.

Casper, thanks for your kind words. You are a sparkling member of humanity and one of my favorites on this board. I think it's going to be awesome that you'll be in my time zone, and I look forward to us being able to hang out this summer. I've got fraternity members that have settled in Vegas, so if you need help, let me know and I bet they could open a could doors for you.
InTheHole, you're right, that was the toughest conversation of my life, far more difficult than being interrogated by the cops or having a gun pulled on me in deals gone awry. Being bisexual, I think he is even more offended that I don't make more of an effort to fall in love with a woman and have a family. For my part, I'm not the easiest person to get along with, and so I just take love as the opportunity arises. Maybe now that I'm single again I'll be with a woman, although the thought of having kids doesn't really appeal to me. I guess time will tell what is meant to unfold in my life.
I want to thank all my friends on here for being so kind and accepting. Being different is hard enough, but the kinds of abuse you get for loving a man are almost unimaginable in any other circumstance. SBR is a second home to me, and I hope it remains that way for a long time.

ITH makes the best point that can't be emphasized enough. It is not something that Rogue or anyone chooses, it is who they are. I think that is the biggest issue that people not from our generation have a problem accepting. They are still stuck in that mindset that it is a choice and people can be changed to not being gay. For the most part I would say that no one would CHOSE to be gay if they had a choice for the simple fact that it is still a tougher life. Even as more accepting as this world has become in the past few decades there are still a lot of people out there with anger and disrespect to people that are not like him.
That being said I envy Rogue for being open about what he is and doing what makes him happy.Comment -
