onner pretends to not be sharp, but onner is one of the sharpest gamblers offshore. he just beat LT in a contest and he told me from the beginning that he will give him a chance by going -7 units and he still won. if he wanted, he could have ended up at +22 units.
i just got off the phone with Spiros of olympic and Mickey from Cris and they both told me that onner is banned from betting there, and when i asked why, they told me he's too sharp and has made half a million off them each in 1.5 yrs.
that house is not his parents' house, it's his.. his parents are living with him.. onner's a great son to have them stay with him..Comment -

I have lived in Jersey, Manhattan and Queens. I would take Queens in regards to living and nightlife and price. I had a 5 floor walkup in Gramercy Park 15 years ago and was paying $850 a month then!! The same place now would probably go for three times that much.Comment -

I find that to be an extremely plausible scenario, Nicky. Let's face it, some of us on here are better off than others, but pretty much 100% of the people here are messed up in one way or another. A lot of it is addiction to drinking/drugs and gambling, some of us are anti-social, others are just off balance. Most of us are real enough though to admit it to ourselves and each other.
Pavy on the other hand always comes up with the most glamorous answer to any personal question posed to him. Beauty pageant wife, two young kids, engineering degree (from a school he's never named) and a $120,000 per annum salary. And yet he's said many times that his gambling is what's going to put his kids through college. He says it'll work because even on his bad weeks he hits 60%.
Now, how many of us with kids would really be foolish enough to stake their future on that level of continued success gambling, even if it exists. Also, how many people achieving that level of success are taking the time to post any of their plays? How many of those people are playing over 20 games every Saturday and Sunday? None of it adds up.
My guess is that Pavy is about my age (27), living with his mother and alcoholic father, no job, no friends, and no girlfriend. We're all he's got, but he's too proud to just be himself with us. He's the paragon of a pitiable man.

you could be very well right rogie. rogie, i am not a big paver reader here. i dont know him that well, but from what i've seen, he also seems to be a very insecure guy.. he has mentioned how he is sharp, how he moves lines for books with his action, how he's got tons of money, how books offer him free vacations 1st class because of his betting.. he seems to be trying to make us all think he's a hero.. he's very full of himself or he's very insecure. probably both. he even tried to act big by challenging me to a 50k contest, when i only wanted a few dimes to bet with him.. he wanted to sound like a some hot shot, until i played his bluff and then backed out by giving me fake jj gold lawyer names, etc..
