#3Team went soft. Tried to buy a cup but picking up two clowns at the end of their careers isn't an answer.Comment -

#8Other than a Cup, scoring title, MVP and gold medal-winning goal for his home country, I'm honestly at a loss for what Crosby's ever done.Comment -

#9Honestly, come playoff time Crosby needs a goon out on the ice with him at all times. People want to hit him with blatant interference penalties, the enforcer steps up and takes the other guy out. Worked for Gretzky. Crosby has never been able to let the chippy shit go and he starts focusing on it rather than scoring goals.Comment -

#10I wouldnt say Iginla and Morrow are "clowns". Both solid gritty players but sometimes it just doesnt work out. Hard to build chemistry in a few weeks when the bruins have been building it for years.Comment -

#12Iginla is a HOF. He should have shadowed Crosby and beat the piss out of whom ever got near him. Iginla never dropped the mitts for Pitt. He went soft. Morrow was more aggressive than Iginla. Pitt will make some massive off season moves. Iggy and Morrow will be gone along with possibly Murray. That have cap issues and need a goalie. A real goalie. A goalie that won't be chased in back to back season in the playoffs.Comment -

#13Cooke played with the most heart out of all of them TBH, cant stand him just like everyone not in Boston cant stand Marchand cause of both of their dirty type play. You cant say that either of the guys don't give it their allComment -

#16I believe they were, and are now in the twilight of their careers, Morrow more so obviously. Now Morrow is a solid third line option and Iginla second line, but do I think they are still skilled enough to be offense generators on their own? No. If Malkin and Crosby didn't distribute and create offense then all the sponges on that team (Kunitz, Neal, Dupuis, etc) were going to struggle.
I'll take 4 lines of average offense (BOS) over two lines of powerful offense (PIT) anyway.
More importantly the moves were idiotic because PIT didn't need any more firepower. Defense and goaltending were glaring weaknesses and they didn't address them. I criticized the acquisitions right away.Comment -
