More and more web pages have animated ads that keep rolling for the entire time that the page is open. Some have four of those ads at the same time. This is as annoying as popups were (before you could stop them), and takes up a lot of RAM. Especially if you have 10 or 20 pages open. Is there a way to turn this stuff off?

#2If you use Firefox there are "addons" available that will stop this behaviour.
Download Firefox extensions and themes. They’re like apps for your browser. They can block annoying ads, protect passwords, change browser appearance, and more.
Download Adblock Plus for Firefox. One of the most popular free ad blockers for Firefox. Block annoying ads on sites like Facebook, YouTube and all other websites. Adblock Plus blocks all annoying ads, and supports websites by not blocking unobtrusive ads by default (configurable).
I have my browser (Firefox) setup so that I don't see any flash, animations, banners or ads at all.Comment -
