Whats your view on betting preseason football ?
some lines makers feel strongly about having lots of value in preseason football, i on the other hand feel skeptical about this.

I've noticed over the years some very strange things happen during preseason games, and i personally want no part of it.

whats your stance on betting preseason football ?

Preseason is about capping coaches. You have to pay attention to what they say. So if a coach goes on about a lack of intensity that is a pretty strong play ON sign. Like NYG last night. KC was never in the game. Tonight CHI seems to be in that seat, after losing to SF. So CHI should be crisper than SD, especially in 1H.

Its only a stab and 1st halves are better because the better players usually play and QB's do try somewhat.

          Here's an excerpt from Covers:

"We`ve got 64 blitzes in," bragged Haslett to St. Louis Today. "We go into a game with that many."

His mantra – blitz, blitz and more blitz – is sending a strong message to the rest of the league that the Rams are a different team under their new defensive coordinator.

Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts got it last week. Haslett blitzed on the first three plays and St. Louis finished with five sacks, three by undrafted rookie Matthew Rice.

That prompted Colts president Bill Polan to air his frustration on a local radio show that night about how involved and exotic the St. Louis defensive scheme was for an exhibition game.

St. Louis won the game by the way, 19-17 as 5-point favorites.

"That`s what we`re going to be," said Haslett. "And I`m not going to say we`re going to blitz like that every single game. But we`re going to do what it takes to win games, whether it`s preseason or regular season.”

Just what David Carr wanted to hear leading up to Saturday`s game in which his Texans are set as 3-point road dogs.

Clearly, they're trying to set a new standard at St Louis. My guess is that we'll see it back in the score tomorrow night, especially in the 1H.

Don't bet any more than you feel like giving to charity.

I'm pretty sure that some guy on here told of his theory of pre-season betting which (if I remember correctly) was betting on the underdogs for the first x weeks - and it paid of last season and at least a couple of seasons before that.
