True test of "overrated": Bowl game performance v. spread:

OU: Lost
Texas: Lost
Okl State: Lost
Missouri: Lost
Texas Tech: Lost

Their top 5 teams went 0-5 against the spread. Their defenses were overrated as well.

Difference between Sharps and Squares. That UNDER got slammed out of the gates. If you would have done a little research you would have understood my perspective and at the very least laided off the game. Take away all the interceptions and turnovers and it still would not have come close to the posted total. The Big 12 has no defense and EVERYBODY knew it.

I've found pretty big edges on team totals before, but when you see a line like this something should click that its that much lower than their average for a reason

I've done alot of damage on team totals this year (had some good offensive teams as dogs)... layed off the sooners total though gators d too tough. I can see why sportslock thought it was a Lock though.

That is very true, I just hate that it is -115 juice, and stuff like this didn't even exist back in the day. Its not true capping to me its more of a guess. Maybe you have done very well and you have found an edge, for me it would be like throwing darts.

totals to me are useless. its the same as playing with fire. you never know how many TOs a team will commit or if they will have a dozen penalties etc...

I personally wouldn't classify totals as useless. The same could be said ml or point spread. You never know who will win or how much they will beat the other team by. It's all guessing. Some people find relief in totals as they don't have to rely on one team to either win outright or win by a certain amount of points. I play them all

Score 50+ pts a game versus Big 12 teams, score 14 vs SEC, need any more proof that SEC defenses are the best in the country? Me thinks not
