Yet another reason why I hate cops
I was coming home around 5am last night and I was following all the laws of obeying the speed limits and I happen to witness some guy drive right into a telephone pole. Well, needless to say I turned around to try and help the guy out and it turned out he was drunk as a skunk.

I tried to help him out the best I could, but when I heard the sirens I tried the best I could to get that gentlemen to flee the scene because I knew the cops were going to bust him with him with a DUI. He refused to leave his car that was impaled into the telephone pole and when the cops arrived on the scene they drilled me with all sorts of questions trying to implicate me into this crap. After about 20 minutes I finally convinced the cops I was the first one on the scene and was making sure the guy was alright, they let me go.

This is a prime example of why you never try and help people out, because the cops will try and implicate you as an accessory.

You really think trying to get a guy to flee the scene is helping anyone out? The guy obviously shouldn't have been driving. The next time it might be you instead of that telephone pole. He should be in jail.

You mean you would have made a citizens arrest and turned him in when the cops arrived on the scene, sir?

You tried to help an individual flee that just as easily could have crashed his car into another vehicle seriously injuring or killing innocent people? And then you have the nerve to complain that you were incovienced for 20 min because the cops suspected you of doing pretty much exactly what you actually were?

            Give me a break.

Yeah, you hate cops, but when something goes wrong who's the first person you call?

Absolutely. One of my best friends died and another one was paralyzed in two separate drunk driving accidents. I have zero tolerance for it.

                                      put yourself in BBD's shoes....

if BBD rolled up and Rogue was the drunk driver.... would you want BBD to detain you for the police and advise you to flee to save your ass?

how many of you would flee knowing it would be better for you legally?

I've driven drunk way too many times...very stupid on my part looking back. I could have hurt or killed innocent people. I was young and dumb...learned the hard way by rolling my mustang at 110. Never again...if I even think about opening a beer I have someone else lock my keys up somewhere that I won't be able to find/get to them. I'm almost always the dd and my friends/family call me at all hours for rides that I will give them in a heartbeat.
