Curious about the profitability of high volume bettors

I have always found that I am far more profitable in playing only the games I have handicapped and found to be of a premium quality. I have tried many methods over the years and have always found (for myself) the more I play the more I tend to "gamble" and ultimately pay back the book. In my opinion, by limiting my play per week I have been able to consistently show profit. When I play half the board everyday, even with a decent day, the vig catches up.

Just curious what other cappers have found to be succesu for them.

i agree with you. when i play every game or most games, which i used to do for a long long time, i would very rarely make profit unless i got hot and hit 12 out of 15 games, etc. now, by picking what i am more sure about, i bet less and my win % is way up. one of the cardinal rules is not to bet a game just for the sake of betting.
