    128 man contest question.
Looks like my opponent may not make any picks in round #1.
    I am 1-1 right now.

If we both make no more picks I go 1-7, and he goes 0-8 right?

Or is there some other fine print concerning using this type of strategy?

if he doesn't make the minimum amount of picks, he has to be DQ'd, right?

If you make less than the minimum amount of 8, one unit will be subtracted from your record for each missing pick. If you make over the max of 12, excess plays will be no actioned without a unit penalty.
It is not smart strategically to not make any more picks, because your opponent can show up out of nowhere and make his selections while you're eating dinner. There is no advantage at sitting at 1-1, if he is a no-show he will have forfeit this round and you would advance. So, there is nothing to be gained by chancing that he won't wake up.
