That this Miami Heat team is not nearly the super team people make them out to be?
Could it just possibly be.....?

#12Ewings Knicks
Malone's/Stockton's Jazz
Reggie's Pacers
Kemp's/GP's Super Sonics
All teams that would beat this Miami team in a 7 game series. Maybe even Barkley's Suns would give these guys a run.
To think this is an all-time great is a bit short-sighted.Comment -

#14Wrong. The Heat struggle against teams with good bigs. The Spurs bigs decimated Zbo ad Gasol. The only matchup favoring the Heat is LBJ. Every thing else leans Spurs. Especially coaching.Comment -

#15As is the case with die-hard Heat fans like yourself. Without Lebron, Miami is a .500 team and probably doesn't even make the playoffs. Dwayne Wade is absolutely useless now and has always been the DIRTIEST PLAYER in basketball with 5 separate instances of trying to cripple other players. There are strong reasons why so many people hate the Heat.Comment -

#19This Heat team has all the same issues they had 3 years ago when this team was put together. They lack any interior presence and get dominated by physical and skilled interior teams, Anderson/Haslem are ok but no match for high quality guys. And they lack any way to back up an injury. Wade is hurt and lacks the ability to attack the basket and they have no good scoring options off the bench. Allen and Battier are good shooters, but cant create thier own looks and its hard to scheme open looks vs elite defensive teamsComment -

#24I dam sure know that if the Heat can't guard Roy Hibbert who is one of the most nonathletic player on the planet, the Heat would get anally raped by the likes of Patrick Ewing, Robert "The Chief" Parrish, Kevin McHale, Karl Malone, Shawn Kemp, insert any quality big man of the 20th century. Hell they got their ass kicked by Tyson Chandler 2 years ago. Tyson Chandler is not nearly as all around skilled as the big men of the 80's and 90's.

#28Bottom line: the NBA "office" wants the Miami/SA matchup very badly - the ratings will be HUGE! Indy/SA has very little appeal. Any somewhat close calls in Game 7 will go Miami's way and King James can basically do whatever he wants and will not foul out. Not sure if Miami is the better team, but they will somehow win Game 7.Comment -

I also think the Heat are are good team, but that their regular season record was definitely aided by playing in the Eastern Conf. The East really has some mediocre teams this year. Combine that with the media, especially ESPN, with pumping up LeBron and the Heat so much, too many fans bought in and thought they were just going to roll through the playoffs.Comment -

#31Well on paper they actually are a very good team. But what the paper doesn't tell you is that other than LeBron, nobody on the team plays with any energy/heart whatsoever.
Combine that with Wade being a less than avg. NBA player currently and Bosh being Posh, this team isn't that good. The only reason they are in a position to even win the series vs Pacers is just because of LeBron's heroics. Other than that, Pacers have played with far more intensity as a team this whole series.
But even then, you can't count out the Heat in the finals. Look what happened last year and how shit they were - barely making it out of the East, but come finals, they started playing Miami Heat basketball. Sure it was vs OKC, and Spurs will be a whole diff. animal, but don't expect this scrub basketball play to continue in the finals - a fresh series should get them going again.Comment -

NBA now is mediocre, it's incredible the decline this sport has taken so quickly.

#34Especially among big players. The league has very few skilled big men which none can even make a jump shot. We're looking at Hibbert as one of the best centers in the league right now. 15-20 years ago, he probably wouldn't even get on the court. May not even make most teams. A guy like Brad Dougherty would have eaten his lunch. Shaq, Olajuwon, Sampson, Ewing, Parrish, Moses etc., would have embarrassed Hibbert back in the day.Comment -

#35tired of hearing this "wade is injured" ... thats whoreshit...guy drives the lane like a fukking retard and throws up garbage before landing on his head...3-11 last game and half the misses were in the paint... bosh 1-8 is fukking useless too, but i believe his injury is real...
neither team can beat the spurs, but i would love to have miami and all the futures chucked before the finals even startComment
