Help me pick a new phone please!!!
Ok im due for a new phone from verizon in a few weeks. Wondering if you guys can help me out here. Ive always just had basic phone and am play about 75 bucks a month already and not getting anything except text and calls.

Was thinking about getting a PDA phone. There about $400 but hell even the decent regular phones are about $200 so im thinking the PDA would be worth it.

Was checking out the 6700 and was very impressed. Manager told me though if you were to use slingbox on it and go over your 5gig your service will be terminated. Said you could only use it about a few times a month, and I'll take his word cause he had it on his phone. He told me that the 6700 has wi-fi and could use that to watch the slingbox.

Now what I need help with is I do not know to much about these PDA's or how to set up the wi-fi. Is it worth the hassle? Even if I dont have a slingbox are these phones worth it and if you have one what do you use it for? Can i download a poker site on it and play from phone?

The plan verizon offers for this phone is only about 30 bucks more a month so not that bad. So is it worth the extra money esp with football around the corner or should I save 200 bucks and just get a normal phone? Any comments are appreciated thank you guy

Get a black Motorola V3. It does nearly as much to attract the ladies as a SIA cap.

I wish I could use verizon...but my area you dont get much reception with verizon.. So i'm with sprint. So easy to get discounts with sprint. you get 50 cents credit back each dropped call have...all you have to do is say "dropped call" in the automated customer service and you get 50 cents credited instantly, up to $10 per phone per month.

I have 3 phones in my plan so thats $30 less I have to pay a month. Also sprint just about gives you discounts for working with any company. You can look up the list of companies and just say you work there. about 80% of the time they wont verify. Discounts usually about 25% a month of your total bill.

So for 1500 anytime minutes, Nights start at 7pm, unlimited nights and weekend, unlimited text 3 phones my plan comes to about $60 a month after discounts. not bad for 3 lines

Just some info if anyone is planning on joining sprint lol

Off topic but get the insurance. I lost my Motorola the new one with Itunes and they wanted to charge me 359 to replace it so I went with some cheap Nokia. Unreal.

How exactly does the drop call credit work? What is the # you need to call? Do you need to do that right after your call is dropped? I am with Sprint also, Nextel before they merged and I cannot wait to get out. Customer service has been horrible and the reception in my area is terrible. As soon as my contract is up I am gone.

dial *2 and when it asks how it can help you just keep saying dropped call until you reached max....once you reached your max you can even call customer service and tell him how many dropped calls you've had...usually they'll keep crediting. But using automated service you have a max of $10 a month that can be knocked off your bill.....max that out and then call customer service they'll add a few more bucks to your account

I would rather have my pinky finger nail removed with a pair of needle nose pliers rather than do business with verizon. They are terrible.

Really John? Ive had them for about 4 years and never once had a problem ( lol I sound like a BOS customer). But really I have never had once call dropped or any problem at all in 4 years.

Really looking it this im thinking I might go with the Q or just a regular phone. I dont know, I will mostly use it as phone so after everything I been reading the 6700 is not the way to go but some of their regular phones look so outdated and I dont need a stupid mp3 player. I really just want phone I can get on web and look up scores and stuff, but since im probebly gettin the NFL sunday ticket sure would be nice to have slingbox moble on phone

sprint is the best plan for my locatin in southern california. Ive tried cingular, at&t and verizon all 3 wont get as good reception as ive been getting with sprint. Plus no other company offers so many discounts like sprint. yet again sprint is prob horrible in everywhere else lol. To me its been a savior, crystal clear class always.
