I live by myself in a house that I own. The house is nothing special, barely 1,000 square feet, but I have a nice garage and a smokehouse, and 10 gorgeous wooded acres. I have no complaints, other than I'd like to be living in a college town instead of the middle of nowhere.

how can you say CSL is not a good neighborhood? it's top 5 in montreal, easily.. i am paying $1,000 a month here.. it's the nicest highrise in CSL.. and who said i was making so much per year? that's 5 star bomb's words, not mine. i never announced this to anyone.

also, i could have bought a condo, but i prefer an apt. no hassles, no taxes, no welcome tax, no maintenance bills, no hassles of buying, selling, etc.. there are tons around the area here and i came so close to buying one, but i prefer the easy way out. and had i bought a condo, i'd be paying way less than i am paying now..just dont want the hassles and aggravation. and i have to get a mortgage.. forget it.. this is much better and i don't want to be involved in the buying of a house or condo anyways.

You would think differently if you lived in a desired place to live. At least in my area it was a hell of an investment.

well... logistically it's CSL, but i don't really consider this area to be, just compared to what i thought u were making based on what most have said, i thought it was a bit poor. i consider real CSL to be passed the underpass on westminster, and maybe those houses behind ur building. that area i totally agree is Top 5 in Montreal, the english burroughs are the best.

but i agree that high rise is the nicest in the area. my building is garbage compared to it. my goal is to get a condo though, i don't care about the hassle as long as it'll be cheaper long term.
