How many games a night do you boys bet on avg??

For me, during NBA, NHL, NFL season, college sports.... i bet on avg about 25 games a night, including totals.. or close to 200 games a week.

Baseball season-- 12-14 games a day.


I wonder if i am only one like this, or do most people here bet like 1 or 2 games a night?

i'm an action junkie archie.. i bet almost every game on the board.. i always find edges on every game, whether i bet it early, OR with my locals around game time.. they play around with their lines and usually give me good #'s to bet so i bet other side and balance their action..

my locals only open up from 6 to 8 pm.. i usually call em up right around game time and ask them which side they want me to take and they give it to me at 10 cents better.. it makes us both happy.. i get a good price and they lay off a lot to me and minimize their risk.

I can recall a few nights in summer having like 6 espn gamecasts on my screen cascaded, so i could see each score...if it changed..

and i'm watching a movie 15 feet away with my gf, and i'd constantly be looking over towards the laptop...if I was losing more the winning, i'd not be able to pay attention to the movie any more..

so i decided in in mid aug.. to stop that shit..

10 cents better ? why don't they lay off at betfair, matchbook or pinnacle ?

if i was going to be in a contest for 50,000 bucks, i would only have played maybe 25 of the 500 plays. since i had 3 yrs, i could now hand pick my games and only take the strongest ones, and leave the mediocre ones alone.. since i have 3 yrs and not 30 days like this contest.

My cash flow was so up and down i couldnt take it. So now i limit myself to at MOST 3 games a day. I havent had a losing week in 11 straight weeks since "i controlled" myself. I am always composed now watching the games i play and just pick a lot more winners

instead look into how many games tha you can get a good edge on a game

if its only 1 game then fine ....if its 25 games then thats fine also

Plays that I actually wager a unit or more on, I make a strong effort to keep in the single digits, although admittedly it's usually between six and nine.

Plays that I place for entertainment value at a $20 stake size are usually all the TV games that are on. I always have sports on when I'm cooking and cleaning, or even playing video games with the boyfriend, and I find it enhances the game to have $20 on it in some fashion.

It's become even more enjoyable since Nicky taught me that it's a coin-flip in the long run, so I don't really handicap those games, I just play my gut feeling. That actually makes those wagers my favorites, since it's not my ability to quantify the matchup that's determined by the outcome, it's just my instincts as a gambler. I have no problem with having bad gambling instincts, but I sometimes take it personally when I team I feel should dominate a game ends up getting dominated themselves.
