I don't follow people for big bets, and anybody who bets his entire bankroll on a sports bet is either drunk or has too few zeroes to worry about. But 5K just on this guy's wagerline picks in 2008 would have netted 85K: http://spaces.covers.com/DarkHorse21

The best player on this site is Justin7. I like the combination of his knowledge of the games and use of math. I suspect he was aakj in the BTP contest, who showed an uncanny ability to pick the strongest play of the week. This guy is miles ahead of 99% of the posters here. I respect Ganch a lot, but what he shares (which may be only part of the story) is too heavily weighted towards math for my taste. Other than that, I would pay serious attention to babaoriley's Spurs picks and to Mudcat's football plays. Pags 11 is good at college football, but I usually pass on amateur sports. There are some longterm posters in the statfox hof that I respect as well. Durito and Santos know their stuff too, but I believe they're mostly arbers (not sure).

Anyway, it's all about consistency and the long run, so many good gamblers go undetected because their percentages don't stand out in the short term.
