    Michael Crabtree suffers torn Achilles
USA Today reports Michael Crabtree suffered a torn Achilles' tendon in Tuesday's OTAs session.

It's a crushing blow for the 49ers, though they're holding out hope Crabtree can return at some point in 2013. Terrell Suggs and Da'Quan Bowers were both able to get on the field last season after suffering torn Achilles' in the spring, but neither ever seemed to make it all the way back to 100 percent. It will be an even tougher challenge for Crabtree, as receivers must constantly stop/start and change directions. It elevates Anquan Boldin to No. 1 receiver status, and places increased pressure on 2012 first-rounder A.J. Jenkins coming off his lost rookie season. Fourth-round pick Quinton Patton will now be no worse than the Niners' No. 3 receiver until Mario Manningham returns from his torn ACL. Even if it becomes clear Crabtree will play at some point this season, he shouldn't be considered more than a late-round flier in fantasy leagues. The news tilts Frank Gore's arrow slightly up, and Colin Kaepernick's slightly down.

Gotta feel bad for the guy. He was actually starting to turn into a legit #1 late last year to...

In the arms race to keep pace with Seattle, this is a crushing blow.

Optimistically, maybe he can return to serviceable form by the playoffs.

On the bright side, for the 49ers, the Boldin signing is looking like absolute gold right now.

Doesn't sound like the stock in Randy Moss is going up though.
Randy Moss left the San Francisco 49ers on good terms and is staying in shape. Might the team consider bringing him back in the wake of Michael Crabtree's Achilles tendon surgery?

Do they have any flexibility at this point to pick someone up? A.J. Jenkins is the #2? Not even too sure about Boldin being a go-to guy anymore. He's 32, this is his 11th season. He's slowing down, I think.

                              fantasy football

i played one league with a bunch of friends last year, and some of them take it seriously... i picked last, i picked the people they expected me to pick (Peyton,Luck,Wayne) I did zero prep for the draft, and ended up winning the league championship in a blowout in the final week

its all about having a little luck, making some good pickups early in the season... that's it

The guy seems to spend more time injured than he does playing the game.
