I went to see the Great Pyramid. I was very ill and it was something I always wanted to do. I always thought there must be something special about the place.

The beggars and the con artists and the trinket hawkers harass you mercilessly, so it was not enjoyable.

I was able to bribe some guards to let me come to the pyramid after dark when it was possible to not be harassed.

I liked being at the pyramid. Egypt is a cesspool otherwise.

Been to Egypt. Very friendly place. I loved the local hospitality. I enjoyed camel's milk with my cheerios for breakfast. I drank tap water. It tasted better than Evian. The only think that scared me was driving around Cairo. Jeff Gordon wouldn't have lasted a day in Cairo without wrecking.

Been there ... just a few highlights ...

- the women and diving in Dahab ... and the wreck dive, the Thistlegorm, in Sharm ...
- heading out to the Great Pyramids and climbing to the top of the 3rd ... light show at night is also spectacular
- the Egyptian Museum is one of the best in the world, especially the mummification room
- Hurghada; Russian women everywhere ...
- Karnak, Valley of the Kings and the all-impressive, Nile River
- watching the sun rise from the top of Mount Sianai ...
