            I had a similar play in defeat last season with the marlins. I had Marlins +1.5 against the Cards, and the Marlins scored two in the top of the first, and then proceeded to not score again losing 4-2. Damn.

                    It wasn't so much the bet as the irony of the game. I lose bets all the time. I think this was a cosmic sign. Something BIG is going to happen soon. These things don't happen to me often. When they do, something always happens... but what?
