Someone trying to tell me that because more people are playing the odds of winning are less.

I tell people the odds of the numbers being 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 are just as likely as any other combination to which they reply...that seems a little more unlikely, that's just never going to happen.

I only buy one ticket every time. Pick the numbers of my favorite sports players. Always use #34 for the power ball (Nolan Ryan, Earl Campbell, Hakeem Olajuwon).

I think all age groups should take cash - the dollar will lose more in value over time, than you would have to give up now in order to cash out the entire jackpot.

Not really. The tax rate could soar and then if you didnt take a lump sum you'd lose a lot more.

Maybe they were meaning that the odds go down that a single person playing will hit the huge jackpot tonight with the numbers of people playing are much greater than usual.
