I agree. I opened this thread expecting to disagree with whatever you were about to say about Madden, I'm one of his few remaining fans. But, yeah, college OT rules are much more exciting and compelling. Same deal with how they finally brought back the 2pt conversion. Just get with the program, NFL.

They all have to work on their deliveries.....Wish I could remember the game, but last week some Booth Brainiac noted that the team in question "Has to be commended for working hard out there on the field".....WTF? As oppossed to what?

I have been turning the sound down for the last 30 odd years. I used to turn on the radio and listen to Hank Stram who was my favorite or just listen to music while the game was on. The announcers today are overall so bad, that I tune in from time to time for comedic relief only. It usually takes less than a few minutes to start laughing, which unfortunatly turns to disgust, because these monkeys are not trying to be funny.

I like Madden and Michaels. They know their stuff. They have not once irritated me. For most other crews I turn off the sound.

I can stand AL. Collingsworth is horrible. Smith is a Dallas Homer and thats all he wants to discuss.Age has hurt Madden in recent years. I enjoy the radio announcers, they all do pretty well.
