its funny how after a blown nba call, the broadcast cuts back to a previous dunk or another good play, instead of replaying the controversial call....obviously trying to downplay as if nothing happened and nobody was just screwed lol...

With that said, it would be tragic if something like OP referenced ever happened over a game. People that put money down should already have knowledge of how shady it can be.

i have often thought the same thing how come a player hasnt hit or pushed a ref after a bad call specially in a big game with all the adreline pumping.

Rasheed Wallace went ape in 1999 or 2000 I believe. He flat out said it was entertainment anyway. Basically, Kobe was called for a foul and when the ref realized it was gonna be his 6th he switched the call to Rasheed. Lol

Little doubt there are crooks out there officiating the games but also tons of affirmative action cases who are just too mentally slow to register the action at the speed it's happening and make a correct call....sad state of affairs indeed....

NBA especially, players are too big and too fast. The refs could do better, but honestly in the heat of the moment, and only getting one look at it, it's tough to make the right call.

Now when they review it and still fukk up, that's another story.

Still doesn't take away from the fact that refs are idiots. And back to OP, I think we bettors/fans accuse the refs of fixing way more than it actually happens. Alot of times when u see weird calls, most of the time they are just stupid calls that these officials make because they are just that dumb. Seriously, I would pay to see who the hiring committee is in this league that finds these officials and what screening process they go through. So many of them make horrific calls night in and night out and it NEVER gets addressed. Its painful to see a bunch of over-paid crooks not only fixing games at times, but just being so bad at their job.

Nba refs are actually the best. Better than nhl/mlb and nfl easily. Soccer refs are the worst.

the mlb has been worse cause one bad call in the nba USUALLY doesnt effect a game like it does in baseball. Look at baseball the last couple of weeks the calls in the twins/whitesox game were LAUGHABLE and the a's indians game probably cost the a's that game. Thats why the players get away with SO much more with the refs in baseball than in basketball cause the umps know they screw up half the time.

Imagine an nba player spitting on a ref like robby alomar did they would probably get banned while in baseball you only get 10 games. Or when delmon young threw the bat at the ump if you throw something in the nba they get arrested.

point of view from someone who "got out" and one another poster brought up. when you have money on the line you watch the game a lot closer. you think all bad calls are a fix. in truth, the common non-betting sports person does not notice nor think a bad call is a fix. this is why the real fixes never get addressed.

so what we need is for every single sports watching person to start betting on sports. that would fix this problem. do not agree with the death thing though...
