you may be right, I suppose it depends on who you surround yourself with, MOST people that I associate with are quite educated so maybe I take it for granted...I do think education is a serious issue in the US...its easy to market to the less educated, maybe that is one reason. If the general public is kept in the dark its easier for the educated to gain an advantage...KNOWLEDGE IS POWER! lol..but seriously..it is

Having said all of that, I don't think all nba players should be expected to be highly educated on anything but basketball, they are "specialists" if you will. Called upon to do a job and that's it..if more people cared about education, basketball players would be held more accountable
