What a shame lose a perfect game by a step oh well if he threw 9 perfect and the Mets didnt score that would have been just as bad.

As beautifully pitched game I've seen in a very long time.
This Yankee fan locks into every Met game Harvey pitches.
Ct. boy from up the road a bit, has just enough swag without being cocky, knows how to pitch big boy baseball at the age of 24.
Just a pleasure to watch, the kid has it all going on, and will for years and years.

He threw for Fitch HS here, won a state championship.
LA drafted him, chose the Tar Heels instead.
Don't know him, I know Charlie Morton a little bit who pitched here.
From what I hear, Harvey is a good kid.

Mets will get there Sydergaaurd Wheeler Mateo Mondesi and Tapia all young studs in the minors.
I hate Collins as a coach but for a declining team trying to save money he would make a great GM.
He looks for tall young hard throwing arms then builds around that. Hopefully they wont be like the Pirates
when their kids started becoming stars they sold them
Wheeler finally started getting back on track in Vegas

Harvey 9 innings 1 hit 0 walks 0 runs 12 k's
1 grounder to SS beat by 1 step but a hit for sure I wonder if Harvey
pitches the 10th if it was perfect only 105 pitches thru 9

I was a 9 or 10 year old when I saw Dave Righetti (as a starter) for the NYY pitch against Britt Burns of the White Sox.
Righetti pitched a 1 hitter and lost 1-0 to a Britt Burns 2 hitter.
This is how Rags lost.
Middle inning (sixth or so) walk-balk-RBI single up the middle.
Other than that Rags was perfect, and Burns was just as good.

nasher on the other side of the coin look at this game that i was at
Baltimore Orioles beat Boston Red Sox (10-6). Jul 21, 1996, Attendance: 34423, Time of Game: 4:09. Visit Baseball-Reference.com for the complete box score, play-by-play, and win probability
look at how many pitches rocket threw....and maybe one of the most amazing things ever: he threw under 100 pitches in one start that year...the year before he went to toronto....think they were trying to blow him up? that was his fat year

MOOOOOOOOOOSE
(my favorite pitcher of all time)
Mike Greenwell, every fly ball an adventure.
Worse defensive outfielder ever.
Nashy has to shut it down for the night.
Until manana, peace all.

Young guys tend to fade a little at the end of the year. If this guy pitches over 200 innings in a season where the Mets win 76 they are stupid
