Then I've lost the the whole balance, betting £60 on MLB and losing (Dodgers lost to SF Giants, had Dodgers ML) and this "famous" bet of Miami making me lose £900

2) I deposited another £1,000 and chased the loss and recovered the £900, read post #93 in that same thread:

So then my balance was £1,905

3) I've placed this entire balance on this game (this thread) and now my balance is £3,637.10

4) I've now added a very small bet just to "round" my balance of £137.10 on UNDER OKC-MEM in live:



As you can see my balance in TheGreek is £3,500:



I just don't wanna place any further bets, not until I find another "solid" one but there is no really "solid", you see?
I just need to control myself, wait until the 15th of May and withdraw these funds from TheGreek.

The problem with sports betting is that the betting stops when there is no more games. That was hard for me as a poker player.

Accept that we can not quit, we will be gamblers for life. I highly suggest you take my advice earlier. Get a friend, a girlfriend, or family member who doesnt have the 'bug', better yet, someone who hates to take risks. Have them open an account in their own name but you fund it. Explain your problem to him (her) and set some ground rules that cannot be broken. Like per game betting limits. He/she will make the bets, you make the selections and you sit back and watch. If you win, you either pay your friend a cut, or percentage, or whatever and only collect once a month. This is what I did to control my sports gambling. It really works....

I might just let my girlfriend have the passwords to my account and then even if I want to I won't be able to login (and if I will try to reset the password it would go to her email) ...
The problem is I'm in Israel and this stupid country doesn't allow you to bet with the big bookies, you see? No one here can have accounts with Bet365, William Hill, and such ... TheGreek maybe, but you need to deposit and so ... because I lived in the UK and stilll keep UK records (such as bank statements) I can still use almost any bookie that I want.

So ...

It has to be an account under my name, I just have to let my girlfriend to have all passwords and such, right?

Yup, this country is different.
And yes, I have a "UK Address" proof and it's no problem to use a UK VPN so your account looks completely British when you bet ... I have verified my account with tons of other bookmakers, 32Red, SkyBet, Bet365 .... I had a guide written here in the forum about doing that.

I just have to say I do visit the UK alot, I love this country, so much relaxed and not like here where everyone is in a rush ... it's a huge huge different mentality between Israel and the UK.

Real talk, thanks for sharing. I would say certain people are more "wired" to be addicted to gambling (no shit right?) but I wouldn't say you can't quit. I've quit other things that were highly addictive. You can most certainly replace it with a less evil vice.
