No offence to anyone but I really think Niño would be an awesome choice. Not only is he a great hockey capper, he is also a class act. Somehow the trolls stay away from his thread, he answers all questions, he doesn't mock anyone, he is always willing to help a guy out and more than anything, in my POTM evaluation there is nothing more important than winning, and he has done that consistently.
I think there is a new age coming at SBR, an age where people just have a good time. The friendly fun and games are of course good too, but right now There is definitely a lot of crap and negativity out there. Like I tell people all the time here.....you will get back whatever you are willing to give on SBR.....and Niño is a perfect example.

Nino definitely is the best choice here. Dude posts good videos (Hope he's gotten rid of his 80's porno mustache though), apparently has a sick following in Hockey, and is just a true nice guy. Plus he cares about that POTM garbage. I should never get it.
Props to Fitguy for mentioning me but honestly I'd never want to win a POTM award. I'm not here for that. I don't post picks everyday and don't just post games to post. I post what I like only. And I also get caught up in these little trolls too easily hating on my threads. I'm not a nice guy like El Nino.

I enjoy the positive vibe guys for sure, and I have a lot of good guys following me when I post which is great and how I like it, but there is a lot of hate and bullshit on here I can't stand. If there was an edit option to keep guys out of my threads I'd probably enjoy this site 100 times more.
I have been wrong in the past also. I hated on Deemer for a while after we had a spat in the poker games, and also Mcduggly, And they are really just a couple good dudes who enjoy sports. Win or lose, it's fun to be in action when you're a young buck.
If you take away 25-30 guys on this site who do the same shit- Smoke and all his lil pussy buddies, talking about c0cks all day, jamming light bulbs in each other, and hating on everyone who tries to post threads on games, it wouldn't be that bad in here at all. They are honestly just dead weight and the shit you step in walking through a dog-park.
At least mix it up a little, bring something involving sports once in a while instead of just hammering and blowing each other like high-school swim-team teammates.
Other than those bitches I have been focusing on picking games and enjoying my favorite time of year which is MLB.
I like giving it back to ppl who hate on my games after I lose, but I also understand the mentality of a degenerate gambler, and how not only do they love to and get used to losing, but they root for everyone else to lose with them as well.
It's a sick, sick, disease. And you are always going to have these guys who are broke, out of action, and addicted to rooting people down.Comment -

my purpose in this thread was just to elevate "helpfulness" and "usefulness" (ie. the quality of CONTRIBUTION) in the discussion aimed at determining what members are most valuable
...sick of thread-space clutterers getting accolades based almost-entirely on their apparent ability to cultivate "hipness"
all three I mentioned--and lots more as well (each subforum has it's own "go to" guyz) deliver "steak" (in the form of food for thought & action) to us for free on a regular basis...
i thot that by featuring these three very very good (but very very different-in-style) "steak" providers...all the "never fukkin hear of ya' pal"-type side-banter and posturing (what I call "sizzle") might get put into proper perspective...
it seemed to me that POTM was becoming a "hippest dude" competition...rather than recognition for being the forum's "most valuable contributor" MVC (I definitely prefer the word contributor to poster)...remember frizelli?...guy had 13k-or-so posts...but i don't remember one being a contribution in any way
these three (and many others) are definitely valuable contributors...as for who's the hippest dude, I don't give a rat's ass who's in the running there...but the two domains should be considered separatelyComment -
Yeah, I agree Fitty....Kind of became a dikk sukkin contest rather than a real award. I must say that when I gave it to Deemer the kid deserved it.
Had a picks thread going w/ thousands of views, had vids, burials and was doing great in poker tournys and ring games. Bigday and milw mike blew there months when they ran it w/ Paula Poker and that one guy who just gave points away(even though that was a very nice jesture).Comment -
Yeah Deemer had me at 31 I had my best month ever April last couple I check in at 17 which is about right for me. But April I had more tourny cashes than any poster my pick threads had a great record like 4-1 and I had threads with a good amt of views
I guess I need more post asking fondle me like a crack baby or do you wear homo pants? LOL really it takes a lot of work to do the list so If I drop no big deal to me just dont see the flame posters being so high on the list for posting garbage day after day

sweep, last month's award was solid...if anything u went against the historical grain there and did the right thing...there was even a backlash--primarily IMO cuz he was thought-to-be insufficiently-hip by some to fill the shoes of the likes of Opie

no problem also having a MPP (most Popular Poster) award...and some guys could even be in the running for both...

Heard good things about El Nino and BBN but going with D2D - consistency, accountability, and just the damn sheer number of bets across the board. Dude's a beast when it comes to the spectrum of sports he caps. This style is not for everyone, but it does show he knows his shit.Comment -
Just got into sports betting and immediately found D2D's thread. Been following him and have already made some $$$. I hardly know anything about sports betting so far, but am learning a lot by simply reading his posts and analyzing his thought process behind his bets. Seems like a good community and I'm glad I found it. It's nice to get some action again after the online poker bust
