serious question .. are open parlays better than a normal parlay?

my local just started offering the open parlay option to his book .. max is 5 teams .. are open parlays even worth while or 99% of them lose also ?

0 difference between open and normal parlays. Open allow you to "feel" more confident, but in reality if you are going ATS or at moneylines, your chances of winning the bet are just worse than the odds you are getting

Open parlay easier to hedge.

Also good for when you want to include games that might be weeks away but no lines are available yet. Maybe you like a particular matchup etc.
