    If you were a sportsbook on the ropes would you go out of business now????
    It's the biggest time of the year for sportsbooks with football season here.Why on earth would you go out of business now even if you were broke?Surely you could have a plan A and plan B,plan A being that you will get lucky early in the season where you can cover bets in turn key fashion or plan B,collect the bets and if you are doing lousy,take the money and run after about the 5th week of the season.It would take about 5 weeks of non payments before the biggest of rube bettors would realize payouts weren't being made.You would think there would be some silent backer with deep pockets that would keep you afloat until a week or two into the regular season knowing he will get a huge interest payoff whether the sportsbook stays in business or goes kaput.

    Possibly because you are a publicly traded co. with board members facing jail time. The big bad USA says close down or we arrest you. You then fold your tent. Not having the players money made the decision easier.
