How do you survive a 5 hour car ride with a woman?

I have a 5 hour car ride tomorrow...What can you possibly do for that long in the car? I know we don't want to listen to each other for that long.

I don't think we have all the same tastes in music so its not like we can listen to music the whole way either.

Any suggestions on what to do? What have other Posters done on long car rides?

AMBy, as the resident purveyor of dark pharmaceuticals on SBR, I recommend crushing up a couple Ambien into a drink before you set out on your drink and just let her fall asleep within the first hour. Then you can have fun cranking up the music, driving faster than she would like, and poking her occasionally laughing at the fact that she doesn't wake up. When you arrive at your destination she'll be well-rested and ready to party all night long.

I have a rule that while I'm driving, I get to control the music to "keep me awake." When I'm the passenger, I can opt to listen to the driver's music or sleep. It's a fair trade, I think.

I think you should visit a bar beforehand and continue the festivities in the car. If you keep her drunk, she'll be more fun...as long as she's not puking.

I refuse to drive anywhere longer than 2 hours. If it is longer than than then I fly. I never understood why people drive. I fly all the time and it is just so much easier.

My wife and I are actually more compatible on the road now that I'm an old man and can't go 4-5 hours without stopping to piss. But she won't take trips more than 250 miles at all, that's about her limit. One of the things I want to do when I retire is spend a month or more driving around to minor league ballparks. She said I would have to do that on my own. I smiled, but caught myself before she saw me.

Ok your driving, no problem fill the windshield wiper fluid container with your fav alcholic beverage, I suggetst 80 proof and run the rubber hose through the fire wall under the steering wheel to a place easy to access, you figure out the rest my friend, also you may need to stop by the local auto part store for extra rubber hose and a plastic connector, Good Luck
