From my Canadian friend, Sherwood. Not a lock, but I'm on it for more than an average bet.
his write-up :
CALGARY +4½ over Montreal Sportsinteraction
Easy to see why the Als are favored, despite being on the road. Montreal is undefeated while the Stampeders have fallen short of some high expectations this season. However, we aren't buying into Montreal quite yet. The fact is, they've looked quite ordinary in most games and could have easily lost a couple of them. A closer look shows an Alouette club that has had the luxury of playing six of their seven games against weak Eastern division foes with the only Western opponent being the 3-5 Eskimos. Montreal's opposition has compiled a combined 12-20 record and if you remove two games against Winnipeg that combined record drops to 7-16. Anthony Calvillo has been a premier passer for a number of years but with a few changes and father time gaining on him, Calvillo has not performed to his usual standard. The Stamps have a weak coach and that limits them but there is a lot of talent on the team and they are fresh off a home win over the Roughriders. Calgary has the best runner in the league in Joffrey Reynolds along with a group of stud receivers. On paper, Montreal may be deserving of this billing but this will be a better test to see where they are and we think it’s a test they will fail. Play: Calgary +4½ (Risking 2.2 units to win 2).
