    Pinnacle - Why No Phone???
I just signed up with them and they have no phone and the Western Union option for deposits was not avaliable. There was not even a cust. service number (800) to call! They did however have great lines and an awesome site. Anyone else have a prob with the no phone option?

That is why they are able to offer lower juice. They don't have to pay clerks to answer the phone. There is a numbeer you can to place your wagers there but you will not receive the low juice if you call in your bets. I'm sure someone will be able to supply the phone number. If you need a book that you can call your bets into I would suggest BetJamaica. You will not be dissapointed.

Greek is good for phones or Bowmans

Both lousy online software and quicker to place bets on the phone

      Greek $5 minimum
      Bowmans $20

One that speaks English, peanuts ... One that you can't understand, the same.

apparently too much to make it worth there while from a profit stand point.

There are some books where apparently the only way you can get anything done is to call them. Although they say the have email support, they simply don't have the capability to fix a problem when it is written down right in front of them.

Remember, it's not just the cost of the monkey answering the phones. You need to rent a building, pay utilities, buy phones, computers, desks, etc, plus support staff such as techies to make it all work, and monkey wranglers to make sure the monkeys keep answering the phones. The costs add up.

Pinnacle isn't the first business to go without phone support. Many online banks offer terrific perks and interest to customers, but don't have phone support.

As a customer, it's all just a matter of balancing your needs against potential benefits.

they do have a 1-800 number but don't advertise it to keep costs down. The majority of concerns can be resolved with email. Very smart imo.

Also, if you did call them you would not be offered the same lines as on their website.

The clerk that spends their time replying to your e-mail could just as well answer a phone.

Pinny e-mail support blows. I think they have a bunch of pre-made form e-mails, and send you resonse #373-b, if it matches any terms of your querie.

The reason that some of the top books have no phones (particularly at the moment) is that taking bets over the phone is in direct contravention of the wire act - while taking bets online is still a grey area. Generally as part of the T&C's of signing up to an online jurisdiction - you have to agrtee to take no more than 5% of bets over the phone - and in the more stringent ones eg: Kahnawake - the only time is when your core site is down.
