Romans versus the Huns, Greeks versus the Trojans etc.

But if the olden days of combat came back centaur I'd throw you around like a barbie doll, I'd even give you a horse. I'll have nothing but a sword in my hand

Yes, it must mean the sbr u.s. poker players are inferior because you have such a large sample of this format to look at.

All sarcasm aside, I think there should be a USA East and a USA West. You could add other teams as well. IMO, larger single table tournaments, rather then 4 player, would be more fun, more interesting, and more meaningful in terms of skill level being rewarded.

And it's not just pulling a trigger. Discipline, performance under pressure, toughness in uncomfortable environment, etc.

It is very nice that you are worried about all these other causes. I am just left wondering what they have to do with the topic at hand? I was laboring under the ridiculous assumption that human beings had the ability to care about as many things as they wanted.
If you CHOOSE not to care that is up to you. But if I worked for SBR, I would care if so many of my customers were unhappy. And, I don't know what changes you say Rudy mentioned -- I am only aware of a lot of complaints for the last two years with no changes in the format. ( Excuse me, changing from 4 players per team to 12 players per team does not address the unfairness issue. )

Well, if children anywhere in the world are getting abused, we certainly would not have time to worry about righting any other wrongs -- even those wrongs that we admit are wrong. Obviously only one wrong can be righted at a time, so we must choose our battles very carefully.

Shari, I gotta give you credit for coming into this thread. You knew you would catch hell from the Americans. And you knew that you would get no help from your superiors, who have gone into hiding since BI. I don't expect you, or any poster from the other 3 regions, to dislike the tournament set-up. Why would anyone cry when they are handed an edge? But, as an SBR employee, I believe you have some sort of a duty ( that is in conflict of interest with your role as a poker player ) to ensure that all your customers are treated fairly. I just don't see how you feel you can get away with " I just don't care" , especially when you are one of the players that is getting a huge edge.
