Holy fk what is this bullsht! I was up ~48 units and then this happened:

0-11 in my most recent bets and 7are close to evens!
I have to go over where I went wrong in my thinking. It's funny because I had the best day of live betting, since the beginning of this thread, and went up huge the day before the slaughter.

Then I get back up to ~49u and start this thread and this sht is happening! Cool!

The live betting is so weird on this match. The score was being updated way too fast. Boy was up a break and serving for set and I wanted to hit Kyrg at high odds before he broke back but it went off the board. Kyrgios has advantage at 5-5 about to break and it disappeared off the site. Kyrg ends up winning hmmm.

Yes I went full retard in this thread. I'm trying to think if my method of choosing the winner is bad or if I didn't follow it properly. I chose Li because I thought Sharapova wasn't playing as well as usual. She wasn't but she played against three excellent players. You are right that Li didn't prove anything in her matches in which case I should have gone with the overall better player at a gift line.

As much as I like pre Thousand Suns LP, those odds are absolutely awful.

I thought Li Na would do better as well (I especially didn't expect Siren to go crazy-biatch mode), but why would you take Ming Ling @ evens? Did you really think the odds were good, or were you simply convinced she'd win?

Also: No I don't mean any disrespect and no I don't base anything on the outcome (I even said Siren odds were ridiculously long in another thread way before match start), but I'm perplexed by such a large bet on that line, if you did in fact actually place it.

Yea I thought she would win. She would have won decisively of course but their was the conflict of interest created by her Mercedez sponsorship. The unit amount isn't an accurate measurement of my certainty here. It would be a regular bet in my other thread. I'd like to think that I failed to follow my method (a case of not thinking things through thoroughly) rather than my method failing (in which case I would have picked Pova) here . I agree with the outcome bit, that is you can have bets that lose that you don't regret taking because over time the same line of thinking is a winning strategy. Recently I don't regret taking Jankovic down a set against Lisicki. I would say this was a regrettable bet, my mistake regarding Li's overall quality too highly, but she can prove me wrong if they meet again this year.

No, a losing bet in itself is absolutely not a bad bet, by any necessary means. I do think Ming Ling @ evens against Siren in that match is a horrible bet though, to be perfectly honest. Like I mentioned, I said so before I even knew what the outcome of the match was...
