I'm of like mind, Richie. I don't know why this video is taking so much flak from people, but I thought it was a pretty clean display of constructive criticism on SBR contests. I think he was spot on with his recommendations of grading with Excel, and you could even make the process much much easier with macros and a few quick tweaks to the spreadsheet.

Mad props to you, onthewhat. I wasn't quite sure of you before, but now I think you're a pretty cool dude. What college are you attending?

Feedback is most definitely always appreciated and invited. This was the first team Cap-Off of this style and I've certainly learned from this one how to make it better going forward.

We didn't grade this team contest with excel because it's not as practical in terms of sharing the record with the public. We'd need to export 100 files to give each team a running breakdown of their overall and individual stats, which isn't impossible but it's not as easily accessible as the SBR spreadsheet.

With SBR spreadsheet, you can click each teams name, click individual players names etc, without posters having to navigate through 100 different excel screenshots or attachments. Nonetheless, the contest was definitely flawed conceptually and as stated that's on me. I'm glad to field feedback positive or negative, and happy that ultimately we had 24 teams playing this month daily.
