I think this is his last run as a head coach. He's had 3 opportunities and it hasn't even panned out to 1 playoff win over 7 seasons. He's a Defensive coordinator for life. Now his daddy, Bum Phillips, was one hell of a football coach.

No chance, Jones was the only one willing to take a chance with him this time. He is one of the best coordinators around but some guys aren't cut out to be head coaches. Phillips is one of those guys. He is no spring chicken either.

I stand corrected. Norv had one more playoff victory than Wade had. They beat the Lions in 1999.
