With a bye to start playoffs, it makes no sense to completely bench someone as they'll be too rusty. Only excuse is if they have an injury and need extra time. That being said, Mike Tomlin IS an idiot but not for the reason mentioned.

I've always wished that Ben would get taken out of the game ( Not like this) He constantly fvcks up, by hanging on to the ball longer than he should, fumbling and Throwing INT's while in the Red Zone. This is not the type of QB we need for the playoffs, because we won't get very far with him.

The field goal that they just scored, would have never happened with Ben in there, He would have found some way to mess it up ( INT or Fumble take your pick) I was quite frustrated with the man for a while now.

Mike Tomlin won 10 games last year and the division title as a rookie coach. This year he has them on the verge of winning 12 games and the #2 seed in the AFC while playing the hardest schedule in the league. He made a bad call playing Ben that long, but you live and learn. The guy is a great coach and will only get better as time goes on. There are probably 80% of the teams in the league that would like to have that guy coaching on the sidelines. Just look at everyone clamoring for Cowher. Steelers know how to pick coaches. Tomlin is the next big thing.
