1. Philly is the most hostile place for road teams to play.
2. McNabb is a better QB than Romo.
3. Eagles defense is better than Cowboys.
4. Eagles fans hate TO and they will frustrate him enough to cause a meltdown on Cowboys bench.
5. Eagles can clinch a playfoff spot with a win and Tampa loss.
6. What was the last time Cowboys beat Eagles twice in the same year?

There's a major problem with #5 in your list. The Tampa game is being played FIRST. Once they beat Oakland, it's over and out for the Eagles. Or do you think Oakland can win that??

Even if TB wins, you don't think the Eagles would enjoy knocking Dallas out of the playoffs? McNabb's playing for a contract, whether it's in Philly or not, and Andy Reid's coaching to save his job.
Didn't Dallas NEED to win against Baltimore? How'd that work out for 'em?

I'm chalking this game up to fate. With everything that has been publicized about the Cowboys during the season (internal fighting, injuries, possible coaching changes, etc) , I just see it as their fate to make the playoffs.

If Tampa wins then Eagles play their Superbowl game of the year stress free with the main intent to please their fans by knocking Cowboys out of the playoffs.

I completely agree... That is why I'm on the Eagles today. Dallas was in a must win situation last week. And well we know what happened there. GL Crazy with the rest of your games, however I'm on philly as well.

OK, should I paste stats where Dallas defense is ahead? That's an extremely convoluted way of examining an NFL defense. Philly does NOT have a better defense than Dallas.

Dallas has 58 sacks on the season, compared to 44 for Philly.
Dallas is much better at getting to the passer, and with McNabb not able to get going and only Westbrook as their go to explosive player, how can they score enough points to match Dallas?

the eagles already lost once to dallas early in the yr, tough to beat them twice in the same yr,
mcnabb hates t.o, its obvious, he will give max effort
as crazyLou said in another thread, philly has some unrestricted free agents, they will play for future contracts, not giving max effort today can hurt their chances with other teams looking for them this offseason
it could be reid's & mcnabb's last game in philly so they will want to go out a winner
but yeah, they wont be motivated

NFL unrestricted free agents don't go all out in week 17. If they hurt themselves it can put their money in jeopardy and that's ALL they care about. Guys that were commanding huge money in the offseason anyway are still getting seven figure deals this offseason even if they lay an egg in week 17. It's the rotation players and non starters that try their best and even then they aren't the kinds of guys that impact a game much anyway.

Eagles have 14 INT's and Cowboys have only 8 INT's. This is a better measurement of defense's effectiveness because an INT is an automatic change of possession whereas a sack does not necesarrily mean the other team didn't convert the next down.

I get all that -- yeah, McNabb hates T.O., yeah, last game there for McNabb and Reid, etc., etc... I just think the urgency and focus of Dallas, who we all know is very talented and capable of dominant play (even if they don't always live up to it), more than compensates against a team who is gonna be deflated -- there's no way to avoid being deflated after your postseason chances go POOF!!!

these guys arent stupid. they know it will be a big upset if oakland beats tampa bay so they come into today not expecting to make the playoffs. teams who cannot make the playoffs absolutely love to play spoiler, esp against a division rival and esp when that div rival has T.O on their team and your qb (mcnabb) and over half your team hates that guy T.O.
