This one has been floating around all over the place in the media and especially overseas financial markets leaking where once the chosen one has been fully anointed he will make a blockbuster announcement.What's it going to be?Bank holiday with gold confiscation?A new world currency?Whatever it will be,hold on to your wallets.I suggest buying lots of canned goods,firearms protection,maybe a raw land lot in the boonies on e-bay for $500 and gold or silver.Gold like last year in January goes up anyway as soon as the new year trading takes place.

Yeah I have heard about this as well but Collen Powell mentions that it's a "crisis we don't even know about yet" but that's not much of a clue... I think it could be a bank holiday withOUT gold confiscation or more likely "currency control"... I HIGHLY doubt it's a new world currency because there is MUCH more to do before that is introduced but I can see the introduction of the "AMERO" if that's what you mean... I use to be bullish as anyone on Gold/Silver but at some point I believe due to "Nano-Tech" metals/engeries/ect. will go to ZERO but I am not sure when however I think it's not all that far off (5-10 yrs.)... I can understand the canned goods but if you think it's going to be that bad then buy land and grow your own food because canned goods won't last long... Firearms are not practical because the only people you will likely need it against are people who break into your house when you are home and you don't need enough for an army just a couple of thugs... That does not happen much and if the G.O.V. comes to the door those firearms are useless...

That's part of the programming... People are looking at Obama as if he has already done wonderful things... It's because they are programmed to think this way and you pointed out one good example... I heard my aunt cried when Obama won and if that is true I am going to rip her a new as*hole.. That is just STUPID! She is this tree huggin' white woman that lives in a nice home married to my uncle and they have two well raised kids... Her life was not any differant with Bush in office and she acts like things are going to get better as if she was affected financially by what happened the last 8 years... I can understand if you are black or part black and you actually believe the President has power and makes decisions but for her to react that way is her reacting to the brainwashing...

What will really happen is the Alt A loans are going to hit the market, then Obama will announce his giant 2 trillion infrastructure project to rebuild roads, and a new electrical grid for the upcoming green revolution. The green revolution will be tax credits for people who change over to a certain percentage of renewable energy such as solar, wind, or a bicycle hooked up to a generator in your basement. Then later in the year, the inflation will hit big time from the fed lowering the rate to near zero, and the people will wake up and realize that the government has spent about 4 trillion in less than a year while artificially trying to hold up the dollar's value. Buy gold mining stocks, and other metals, along with oil service stocks. Stay away from gold itself because they will try to control the price.

I would agree but this is not far away and the "Alt A" loans won't make a one or two day impact... This is like the Subprime loans... It was not a one or two day event... I do agree that the above will happen but that is not the "event" some of these comments are refering to IMO....

A comment for those who fear a world currency or the amero.

There seems to be this feeling out there that the US would somehow be giving up its sovereignty if it took part in some sort of international currency. I don't see it quite that way.

I think the only way the US does something like this is if they control it moving forward and it is actually whoever joins in that would be giving up some of their sovereignty.
