For many years, I was a member of a community which dealt with the patching, bug fixing and data updating of a PC football (soccer to avoid confusion) management game, but the best part of the site was the stories, the fairytales, the rags to riches of the underdog. I want to do something similar here, but on a topic a bit different.
After another dismal Saturday, my online account was left with just £10. It was summed up by the already relegated Portsmouth easily brushing aside the promotion chasing Sheffield United 3-0. Looking at the account, I'm thinking 'To reload or not to reload?, that is the question...'. Seeing the remaining £10, I have a change of heart. I want to see how much damage this bad boy can do. I could crash and burn in one round, but hopefully not.
I hope you join me on my journey of the (hopefully) rags to riches, see how far we can stretch the £10 before needing to reload. To see the impatience, the decisions, the downright crazy calls.
Wish me luck!
(I already played the first round of picks before posting this. I began writing before the games played but was called away to a family function at the last minute. From the results of it, you'll see the irrelevance.)
