I've gotten about 15 emails and 20 calls/texts after that game yesterday. We could of knocked LA off so easy last night. Boston let them have so many open shots and played horrible on offense and lose by a couple baskets.

Ryan, I was going to include that in my post but the haters would right away say i'm being biased with that point of view.
Lakers got bailed out so many fukkin times it was crazy. Hacked Perkins to death, saved the ball and Ariza was out of bounds, fouls they let go, etc. And everytime they let it go, the lakers got a dunk or a 3 on the other end which would give them so much effin momentum.

but then, the refs called a foul on butler when lebron shot a 3 and butler didnt touch him
thats the nba, thats the way its always been
it really is bullshit. the mlb has the best refs, i dont care what anyone says, they make the least mistakes, the nba refs are utter crap

T, I implore you not to get down after last nights game. I am not the brightest guy in the world, but the world of the NBA is such that yesterdays game was "meant" for the Lakers to win. We all watched the game, saw the "suspicious" calls and saw basically how the Celtics awere two possessions from winning the thing. From a Celtic fans standpoint, I was happy they lost yesterday. All day today, we will read about how great Gasol and the Lakers played, and come seasons end we will be reading about the Celtics 2nd straight Championship and their 18th overall. Fret not my Yankee fan friend. In the NBA, it isn't the National Basketball Association anymore, it is the Nefarious Betting Association. Don't take my word for it. Just look at the degen refs and their sordid track records.

Forget about the calls, all the Celts needed to do was for for Ray Allen to make them wide opens shots. Also if Tony Allen didn't had the game he had, this game probably wouldn't be that close. Doc rested his big guns way too long, while Phil keep Kobe in to prevent any change of momentum.
I still think the Celts are the better team though, but not in that game. They didn't play their best, while the Lakers did.

Your right Casper, you called it. But there was no way I couldn't put action on them in such a big spot.
I guess as long as we get the rings this year...that's all that matters. The loss still sucks though.

Cashed on LA -2 yesterday. Boston plus points looked too easy; Lakers were the smart play.

Celtics fans are sore losers. Just like the Patriots fans last year when they lost to Giants. Celtics were who we thought they were. Not good enough to beat Lakers on the road. They were beaten by Lakers on both offense and defense. Phil Jackson played Doc Rivers like a trapped mouse.

Omg Pavy, please....responses like that make me tear up.
Boston is WAY BETTER than LA. No question about it. They played some HORRIBLE offense yesterday, and lost by a couple shots. Calls went LA's way the ENTIRE NIGHT.
Lakers were lucky to beat the Knicks at home down the stretch by 2 points. No way the Lakers are better than Boston. I guess we will see the true answer to our debate in June.

You are overestimating how good Celtics are. They were extremely lucky to beat Hawks twice and they are not better than Cavaliers in the East. I see them struggling against Spurs, Rockets and Suns on the road. Their schedule so far was very soft.

Pavy, you are a good guy. In this instance, I think the Georgia weather has affected your thinking. Celtic fans sore losers..lol? The last time I checked, there hasn't been a lot of losing to call us such. Losing to the Lakers in LA on Xmas is not a bad loss. Don't the Lakers have the 3rd best home record in basketball? In regards to Phil Jackson outcoaching Doc Rivers, you must have been watching you game on one of those special televisions. The ones equipped with Laker picture in picture. The game ebbed and flowed, the game had a couple of questionable calls (what big game doesn't), and Gasol made some big plays. To walk away from this game thinking the Lakers are a better team than the Celtics is just plain silly.

The Cavs are better than the Celtics? Really? Have the Cavs beaten the Celts this year? If we are going by last nights games as a parameter on who is good and who is not, we walk away thinking the Cavs are not very good to almost losing to a team at home with a horrible record in the Wizards. As far as the Suns go, didn;t they lose at home yesterday? Pavy, if you wanna bring the argument, let's bring up some solid points my Georgia friend.

If the playoffs started today, Boston would win it. By the end of the season though (which is almost half a year away) the Lakers will be hands down the best team in the NBA.
Barring injury of course.

Pau gets love from the refs late in the fourth now?
HORRIBLE call ...should have been charging
that being said I took 3 things from that game....
#1. whom ever the Celtics play next....they will take out their fustrations on that team
#2. If Gasol plays like that in the playoffs...or BOS dont care to play D on him...either or...The Lakers WILL have a GOOD shot to dethrone the champs...He was TORCHING the interior defense LATE in the game
#3. Now that all the attention has died down...tword stern regarding the fixing of games...I see the NBA is back to playing politics again...dont be surprised if you see officiating like that for the Lakers in the playoffs AND/OR the finals...They have been handed championships before on a platter by stern...and I felt that since he 'called off the dogs' so to speak in last years playoffs...it would only be fitting to serve up the Lakers a championship vs BOS via the refs cheating...to keep the rivaly fresh between these 2 teams...so the NBA can keep the $$$ rolling in

Cloak if the NBA rigged its champion then why would they pick the Spurs, the most boring team in the league, to win all those championships? That was a big blow to the bottom line of the NBA when the Spurs came up with that dynasty.

you my friend know absolutely nothing about basketball
I can tell you have never even played the game
Celtics won because pierce and garnett would not allow them to lose
and david stern allowed them to win
going to 7 games 2 times along with pierce matching lebron when he went crazy in game 7 of the eastern conf finals...is just how someone mans up
you wouldnt know anything about that
dont be a hater....that championship was EARNED...through hard work and the will not to lose...probably the first championship in a while that wasent tainted by stern...only because the timing of the bad press...about fixing games
and to put a cherry on it....the final game for the trophy....they SHIT on the Lakers so bad....that kobe cried...again

the league was so shitty at that time....who did they have to beat?
it was already established that Sacramento would not be allowed to represent the west
didnt the Spurs win one of their championships in a shortened season?
