Wade Davis blanked the Braves for seven innings, striking out seven, to earn a victory in a 1-0 game Wednesday.

Davis and every other pitcher today benefitted from a generous Doug Eddings strike zone. With Eddings calling strikes off both corners, the game featured 19 strikeouts and no walks and was over in 2 1/2 hours. Davis still deserves a fair amount of credit in cooling off the red-hot Braves, but he wasn't quite as good as the line suggests.

i think that stat might be for day games. Eddings has had two overs already this season. however, after today, he's a run of 23-7 under last 30 day games. he's solid for under in generally, but outstanding for day game unders.
