Barkley has the best job in the world basically. He doesn't seem to even read off cue cards, basically just talks and acts like himself and gets paid millions. Clearly does zero research and squeaks by on his natural knowledge of the game. Has also parlayed his gig into big time endorsement deals. Weight Watchers (he gets paid to get fat and then lose weight), that tech/office company, the CC commercials with Alec Baldwin.

And we know the guy is a degen. Talk about living the fukkin life

If you had to search for reasons why he is on the air it would be that he can take strong positions...dogmatic positions and say shocking things without making any headlines because he has a reputation for saying stupid stuff. Everyone else has to behave like professionals.

He's a fruitloop...but make no mistake I wouldn't watch inside the NBA with without him....I remember when that idiot threw ice at him at a bar..and he threw him through a glass window.....Priceless....best power forward I ever saw....

fading Barkley's NBA playoff predictions has been as good as gold at least the last 2 years.

He would be the Joe Biden of the NBA, except he actually accomplished something. He is def paid for just being Charles. Einstein he is not.

I thought Charles was retiring from TNT.
