    Taking advantage of campus
I'm a sophomore at a major state university and a member of a fraternity with 129 active members. So many of us watch sports religiously and I know I could get some action going. We're always watching sports and I know guys that like to gamble. Now I'm no expert, I understand the very basics of how bookmaking works. I think if I got a few questions answered and got a system down I might be able to start taking action and learn-as-I-go. Maybe I can give my fraternity brothers someone to bet with and make some money in the process. I wana make this a small thing, 20 dollar max bets.

-How do I keep everything balanced... let's say four people are betting on St. Louis for every one on Chicago, how do I prevent this?

-I have 1k on hand, is that enough for any emergency I might see?

-I have just ordered James Jeffries "Book on Bookies", is there any other literature I might find useful?

-Any other tips or suggestions would be appreciated.

        Don't do it.

Bookmaking - taking bets from people - is VERY illegal. It's a felony in most states, and a federal felony if you take it by phone.

Since you're definitely someone with knowledge of this sort of thing, what would be the charge if you were bookmaking, but set up that service where they take the bets for you and adjust lines. It slips my mind the name currently, but I'm sure you know what I'm talking about.

Dont lose your lunch money sophomore at a major state university
fraternity member. You will get buried. This game is not for people
like you. Go back to the basics of college life...books, beer, bong-rips, and broads.

Thanks for the mostly positive feedback, I wouldn't **** with it but I'm sure there is alot of money to be made here if I could just get my feet wet with it a bit. (Guys with alot of money from mommy and daddy who are degenerate gamblers too) Anyways, Chutebox, if you remember the name of that service definetly post it, that seems like something that would make my life a lot easier. Keep the great feedback going guys, much appreciated.
