i blew 5,000 this morning in blackjack... then won it all back!

Congrats on battling back pal. One of the hardest things to do is stay calm and grind out some money when down.

Roughly 70% of my bets are 5, 10, or 25 dollars. Usually start off betting 5 for the first 10 or so hands until I find a spot that is worth a 10 or 25 dollar bet. I wait to up my bets to around 50, 100, 200 until i'm up a few hundred and almost never bet large when i'm down. I'm just winning at an unbelievable rate right now (won 14 consecutive hands at one point) and don't know how long it can last but I'm definitely enjoying the ride. Goal is usually only 1 to 2 hundred per session but it's just been hard to walk away lately. Gl

i work at mohegan and am right near foxwoods...im allowed to gamble at mohegan cuz where i work because my employer is privately owned....when i play i always have a good bankroll with me....and i win at a good clip...usually play two hands at at time...and a goal of 2-3 hundred is what i set.....and i try to only play on weekdays when its not ridiculously busy.....but eventually it always comes down and i hit a bad day or two and lose back what they gave me....its just bound to happen....youll have a day with just absolute shit cards....youll up your bets thinking you are just due for a couple of faces and youll get shit....or have the dealer pull something ridic after you just doubled both hands.....i know how you feel...i always think i can make a living playing(and if i had the discipline that i know in my head should be used i prob could).....but eventually a bad day will bring you back to zero because in your head you wont like taking a loss

I definitely understand. That's why I'm trying really hard to keep my bets at a reasonable level and not start chasing after a few losses. Point of this thread was really just how I don't feel casino/live dealer black jack is rigged like so many believe but somehow evolved into something else after i kept winning.

Because most people lose w/out it being rigged. House has the advantage w/ or w/out any rigging being involved. They might actually value customers.

I have also won thousands from 5dimes casino. They have the best odds out there. Lost a lot of it back on sports though

Probably done for the week now. Wanted to see if I could get to 15k but not willing to lose anymore of it back. Lost 4 hands in a row ($5 a piece) then lost a $100 hand and then put $300 down. Caught K-Q against dealer 7 and accidentally hit double down instead of stand . Still, it's the best week I've ever had so don't really have much to complain about

However, I wonder if you will just walk away. I know I couldn't. I would think I had discovered something special and would keep going. Maybe start the week with whatever you started this week with and see how you do. If you lose, try again next week and so on. Just something to think about.
