Middling Scenario...Please Read And Reply

Middling, for some reason is really interesting me lately...small risk, big reward..here is a scenario for this afternoons game, tell me what you as a bettor would do.

I am considering betting $1500 on Celtics +3, and $1500 on L.A. -1

if the number falls as a push on either number, i win one of the bets...if it falls on a laker 2 point victory i obviously win both bets...but is it worth sacrificing the juice to take this chance? basically i am laying $150 juice on both bets..if it lands on any of the two numbers it pays 10-1, and if it lands on lakers -2 it pays 20-1 (juicewise)...who would take this risk?

Im praying for Boston to get pounded late by the big $ then I am going to take a middle shot. If the Lakers hit to a PK or + points I will and pray the Lakers win by 2 and hit both sides

i don't see that happening...it is really odd that it hasn't moved already..i see it sitting right where it is..maybe it goes to lakers -1.5

i honestly thought that when the line came out -2 that i would have been hammered down almost immediately to a pk, then eventually a boston -1 line by tip

I dont see an edge here. Whoever wins the game will be a blowout. I am on the Celtics ML.

i already hit a middle on the orlando/hornet game...i'll play w/ the house money...knock it down to 300/300 and see what happens while throwing my normal play on boston on top of it

I wouldn't do it...too much fouling in the NBA...Very seldom is a game decided by just 2 points. Tons of fouling...if it was a 2-4 pt margin of victory for your middle that would be different.

This isn't the world of religion where making and believing claims based on absolutely no evidence whatsoever isn't just acceptable but considered the noblest form of achievement.

But in the real world when money's at stake this doesn't (or at least shouldn't) fly.

Both Ganch's half point calculator and the Pinnacle drop down show this to be quite a profitable middling opportunity.

But then again for a Man of Faith, evidence and intellect don't matter much, do they?

i don't think you did your math right...since i'm not middling one team at different prices it is actually only a 2 point difference..not -1 to +3 as a 4 point diff.

I don't see this game being a two possession game when the clock runs out..either lakers up big from being fouled or down big because they don't play defense... and they have too many guys bitching about minutes/touches etc...

I guess your real win comes even if you push. You would get your money back. I guess I would try for it.
