Ivey won his 9th in the 3k mixed and Negreanu just won his 5th about 30 minutes ago in the WSOP APAC 10k main event. well done boys. a lot more chances to win bracelets these days. negreanu won $1,038,825. not bad for 4 days work.

#10I shot craps with ivey. he's a big gambler. he plays same way i do. line and come bets + full odds. he only plays like 15-30min at a time. gets in and out quick. he came to table in middle of my roll with $500,000 (half million) marker. was making 20,000 come and line bets with 100,000/80,000/60,000 (vegas 345) odds every roll. he litterally filled up whole table (all box numbers) with $500,000 in odds. Best bet in house. He was next to me. I was so star struck. I was like, "hey. im a fan." He said "thanks." i hit first point and won him a few of his come bets (with big odds). Won him about $200,000 before i crapped out on next point and he lost it all back. he cursed when the 7 spiked (had $500,000 laid out in pass, and come bets with full odds) and he left pissed. His boys stood there at table. One of them looked like david williams. think other guy was his brother? not sure where he stormed off to. I think he went and played in the big game after dumping the half million in craps. The big game was running that night. Elezra, Doyle, and a couple others were there. maybe he went to get another marker. i felt so bad crapping out for the guy. i was screwing up my bets i couldn't focus. I forgot to take odds on pass, was slow collecting bets (forgot to take odds on point which i hit). i respect the guy so much. i didn't wanna lose him 500,000. Ivey comes to my table, and bets a half million/roll on my roll. i was playing about 2,000/roll. I would have liked to get a picture. But i didn't wanna invade his privacy so i didn't ask. I just said "i'm a fan" and kept rolling. didn't wanna slow up the game or act a fool. Just there to shoot craps. When 7 spiked i just said "sorry" and watched him leave table.Comment -

#11Cool story. Bet that was a great experience before you lost him that money. At least you managed to tell him you're a fan before the fact lol. I've always thought the come bets were for suckers but more power to you if you can hit themComment -

Don't ever tell anyone you're a professional poker player ever again. Sound like a fkn 14 year old virgin getting a hard-on for yet another broke degenerate in the poker world. And yes I said broke. But fortunately for a guy like him, he can get action from anyone around so he will never be technically broke.
And I've seen him lose WAY more than that 500k. That's napkins compared to what he used to gamble. Back when they were all robbing everyone while running Full Tilt.Comment -

#16i agree. even though there are so many more bracelet events with the WSOP europe and WSOP apac in australia, these are open events where anyone can buy-in and try their luck. sure, ivey didnt beat 6k runners for his 9th bracelet, but he put up the 3k and it was a "mixed" event which brings the best players from around the world.Originally posted by ticklza bracelet is a bracelet, anyone going to play in any WSOP events in Vegas this summer? thinking about playing in one of the 1k events, but it aint easy coming from Toronto.Comment -

#17No. Bets at center of table (hard ways, horns, yo, whirl, fire, etc) are high house edge. Placing 59410 also bad. Come/don't come bet full 5x odds is approximately 0.3% house edge. Its Same exact bet as pass line + odds.Originally posted by FriscoCool story. Bet that was a great experience before you lost him that money. #18Was cash game player when younger. Supported self couple years and helped pay way trough college. Have solid career now. When you hear professional you think guys on tv. I wasn't making what guys on tv make. But you do realize, that you don't have to be very good to beat a 1/2NL game at a casino. players are awful. Making 100-200 per day is very easy. I also have beaten 2/5, 5/10, and 10/25 games. I didn't make that much (what the upper level pros make), but i got by. I moved up quick for a 19 year old kid. It's very easy given how poor many people play. Paid my bills and had more $ as 19 year old then I could make doing anything else at my other job. That's why i quit and took on poker full time. Want to see my 1040 tax return 2 years ago with 20,000 gambling winnings from poker cash games? No im not professional anymore. I got too much action in me as I can't resist sports, baccarat, and craps. I bet $15,000 on particular sports games and got burnt. Bet $5,000/hand in baccarat and got burnt. Yes i blew much of what i made. Not just gambling. But in strip clubs. I burnt probably 10,000 in 6 months at the titty clubs. No matter how much I win in poker, or how talented i am heads up, I got too much greed, and will always take big shot at the house. I was used to being poor. That's why i wasn't afraid to put everything i owned on the line at any given time. What's the worst? im broke? been broke plenty of times before. Doesn't phase me. i'm a pure gambler. Just this year i blew just about everything on the superbowl (under 47 with "sharps"). i do it every year. Same story. Win in poker, lose to house in sports/table games. I recognize my problem, so I work for living. Plan to support gf and kids if we have them. But i still got it pal. None of the professional heads up players on 5dimes/acr will play me anymore. They all refuse to play me now after they got burnt in heads up sessions. No, i didn't make what you think a "pro" makes. but i was able to pay my bills and get by. and help pay my way through college. Everyone at the 1/2nl table SUCKS. you don't have to be very good to win 200-300 in a 5-6 hour session. Being a pro is easy. If you can't beat a 1/2 game at a casino, you are a bad poker player. It doesn't take that much to be a "pro" with all the fish at the tables now after the poker boom. Instead of calling people liars because they can beat cash games, maybe you should play them and see how easy it is to win at them.Originally posted by BennyBigNutsJesus you really are a fkn queer brah.

#19Hey Benny if your nuts are that big, then put your whole bankroll on line heads up against me. I put my whole bankroll on the line every time i played until i ran it up big. i'm not scared of anyone on this site. Play me heads up, and I will clean you out in 30min. Ask every other player on this forum how well taking me on heads up fared them. i will clean you out just like i did to deemer's last 4000 and took centaur's 15,000. i will teach you a lesson about me. I am better than you thought. I will teach you lesson just like I did to Deem, centaur, and all the other players on this site that took me on heads up. I try to be humble and shut my mouth and play... but when trolls like you come into threads calling me a liar, maybe i do need to teach you a lesson.
Play me 10/20NL or 5/10NL with your whole bankroll and we will see who the better player is.
Let me know if you grow a pair of balls. I got a pair. I'll play you anytime you want, on here for sbr or for cash at 5dimes. Put your money where your mouth is. I am willing to put my $ where my mouth is. there's one thing i know for sure. It's that my balls are bigger than anything in the world.Comment -

#20mixed events are so tough to win. whether there are 20 players or 91, only top notch players win those events. very few flukes happen in the mixed games. joe cada, jamie gold, jerry yang, chris moneymaker, etc, all beat thousands of runners and none of them know how to play even half of the mixed games.Originally posted by JAKEPEAVY2181 player field for Ivey?
