I got Notre Dame. Because I'm not lucky enough to see Notre Dame have more than one loss this embarrassing ala the gem that was the Syracuse game

If it goes to +3 I am taking Hawaii, but other than that I am staying away from it. I have never seen a game split down the middle so much.

Have ND in ESPN Bowl Pick em. 6 for 6 so far. Might change it though

I know it must be the egg nog, but I love ND here. I don't care about ND one way or another, but I see them winning this game large. I will gladly come back tomorrow night to take the taunting if I am wrong.

I'd be concerned with how long ND has been down there in Hawaii, and how serious they're approaching this game. If they're ordering drinks with umbrellas in them and partying with Maui dancers till 3AM, that doesn't bode well for their chances. And how often are those kids in Hawaii anyway?

Agreed 100%, this is something that can't be backed up with game stats but is very important to know if you are betting money on it.

Young college kids from a cold state visiting a tropical paradise for a week before a bowl game, sound like fun for those kids and good news for Hawaii backers.

well guys...they are staying at the Sheraton Waikiki...which is right on the beach...there are alot of woman everywhere...and there is a night club right in the hotel...so unless the players are on lock down... there is alot of things to do to take your mind away from the game....HELL ITS HAWAII, fun in the sun(most places its snowing)....SOOOOO....

I like Hawaii in this one...Warriors are fired up and ready to give the fans a nice game before the 35 seniors depart for bigger and better things in life...i have a really slight lean to the over...

The only TRUE Road game ND won all year was at 0-12 Washington, that may very well have been the worst team in D-1A this year. Hawaii, while not the best team out there, rarely gets beat badly at home, and i think chances are excellent they win outright tonight.

They still have Mirer at QB?

Notre Dame has lost four out of their last six games but....
They have lost to the following teams on that skid... Southern California (#5 bcs), Boston College (#24 BCS), Pittsburgh (#20 BCS), and Syracuse (led most of the game.. should have won).

They lost to Pitt at the end of the game as well as Syracuse. I have no doubt that this team will come in focused and ready to win this game. They have wins over Washington and Navy. Take it back seven games and they were on the 10 yard line at the end of the game against UNC with a chance to win... The win over Navy I find pretty impressive, just becuase I really like Navy.. it was hard for me to take WFU over them in the first game, but I had to.

I'll take my chances with the Irish. They have a streak for losing bowl games but thats simply because they've been put in bowl games that they haven't deserved.. not this year though.

As far as the over/under... In order for it to go over, I think you'll have to see a mass load of turnovers by both teams in their own territory. I don't think either of the offenses are good enough to score TDs on every drive, so you'll see a lot of field goals. Hawaii hasn't played well against teams that more talented than they are. Hawaii scored 10 legitimate points on drive in the game against Cincinatti. Cincy fumbled on the 5 yard line for one of the TDs and Pike was intercepted on another play and Hawaii got the ball on the 20 yrd line for the other TD.

Against Boise, Hawaii scored 7 pts off on a drive from mid field.

Against a mid-level Fresno State team, Hawaii scored on a kickoff return, they were given 3 pts on a drive started at the FS 30 yardline after a fumbled kickoff, Another Fresno fumble on the Hawaii 40 led to another Hawaii field goal, Fresno was intercepted on the next drive and Hawaii scored a TD on a 27 yard drive, and Hawaii wins on a field goal in OT.

Against Oregon State, Hawaii scores 7 to open up the game on a 60+ yard drive and then goes scoreless throughout the rest of the game...

The more that I look into this Hawaii team, they win by turnovers. If Notre Dame can keep from turning the ball over, they should win this game EASILY. Almost every drive that they score on are due to turnovers from the other team.

Hawaii ranks 54th in Pass defense, 72nd in rush defense, 33rd pass offense, and 107 rush offense.

Notre Dame ranks 30th in Pass defense, 64th in rush defense, 46th in pass offense, 99th rush offense.

                              in summary:::
Hawaii ranks 75th in total offense while Notre Dame ranks 76th.
Notre Dame ranks 38th to Hawaiis 57th in total defense.

Notre Dame pretty much dominates Hawaii in all of the rankings and I personally think that the Irish have played a tougher schedule.. therefore, I really like Notre Dame. The more and more I look into this game, the better the Irish look to me.

I'm not trying to sway anyone into taking the Irish, as they very well could lose this game and I don't want to be responsible for you losing your $$... Just thought I'd lay out the facts and statistics behind this game though.. good luck to everyone tonight.

I watched him against Cincinatti... wasn't that impressed. Not only that, he put all of 24 points up against the worst defensive college football team to ever play NCAA football.

OK nobody hates Notre Dame more than I do. I can't stand everything about the school. From the being a Catholic school to the hijacking of the minature fighting irish thing, but I still think that they pull it off this year. It's been about 20 years since the last time the school has won a bowl game and the rich alumni are getting pissed. So the coaches and players are under the gun to get the job done tonight. Take the Freaking Irish tonight.

I'm on Hawaii....who I think wins by 7-10. Here is my quick rationale:

                                                  -ND sucks away from home...SUCKS
                                                  -Long layoff
                                                  -Poor talent
-Offensive Coach's signing is a distraction....dude is out of there on the next plane to Miami (of Ohio).
-Charlie is f'ing Charlie....he hasn't shown to be able to put together a good game plan for ND (don't cite USC....they got their doors blown off in the second half)

The only thing I worry about is that HI doesn't put up a ton of Pts like years past. I think they can hang 24 or so on ND.....can ND score 25 or more? I don't think so.

                                                  8 units on HI.

There are plenty of very knowledgable posters on here that have been handicapping and doing well for quite some time.
