Feds continue to crack down on these books. Have you closed your accounts off-shore? Are you betting less? Keeping a smaller balance? Or just going about your business as usual as long as it is a "reputable" book?
Will you adjust your off-shore mentality in light of recent developments?

#6The day of sports and poker being legal is coming ...It will be a good thing.
The underworld wont have control of the soft ware to line their pockets.
The only bad thing will be taxes on scores but at least it will be fair play.
In the long run sites like SBR should benefit as they will advertise for legal
for legal sites and maybe even become oneComment -

The problem is, we're kind of in the "in limbo" stage right now -- which can lead to a lot of volatility, and a lot of unpredictability. Books and accounts can and likely will get wiped out overnight, even if they've been "reputable" in the past. I'm still amazed that people are comfortable with carrying large off-shore balances given how hit and miss everything has been the past few years.Comment -

#11BetJam was a pretty big blow. I understand balances were kept and transferred, but it had to throw a scare into anyone with more than just a minimal amount of money there. I don't remember there being warning signs before that happened.Comment -

#13Anyone worried about a paper trail with Spiros re: The Greek and Legends? I haven't read into the story with great detail -- are the feds just going after him, or can he roll over on someone and take the whole book down?Comment -

#18My views permanently changed after the full tilt fiasco. This was expected. Legends isn't even a big name book, the DOJ isn't going to hang there hat on taking down Legends. Others are soon to follow.Comment -

#20It'll be interesting to see if this comes to fruition. Our government is obviously bothered by the fact that they aren't benefiting from on-line gambling, whether it be poker or sports wagering. How far they take it before it becomes legal so that they can tax the shit out of it is anyone's guess.

#24Anyone who keeps money on ANY online sportsbook right now is an absolute moron.
It's all getting shut down quick. Yesterday was just a preview after 5 years of planning.
And it's a good thing because everyone running those sites are just scum anyways.
You guys better start finding local bookies ASAP. And good luck with the crappy lines you're gonna get with no bonuses as well lol.
Thank God I'm in Vegas.Comment -

What Legends has stated publicly is that there is no reason for users to be concerned about their funds and history shows in most cases user balances and day to day operations are unaffected. What we know is that indictments relating to gaming where they accept business from US users or have done business within the US is not uncommon. But, players should do what they feel is in their best interest and safest for them.

#29It's a domino effect ....they like anything else go after the weakest links first.
It will all fall eventually. It's going to be made legal I dont see the Govt doing this
to fatten the USA mobs pockets again. I'll say within 2 years we will be playing legal
poker and within 3 or 4 year we will be betting sports. It will be run by legit gaming
companies with profit sharing going towards things like SS. There's no way in the world
you should have anything but hobby money online ......and even with that if you run a
streak and it grows to over 10% of your income cash out. From here on out be safe
be smart the domino's are falling the one's who want to convince you they are not
probably have a reason to do soComment -
